Client: Private ranch in Northern New Mexico
Description: The floor is a very wide-plank Ponderosa Pine, with board widths up to 24 inches. It was sanded and pre-drilled at our production facility before being installed and finished on site. To accompany this floor, we also produced fully prefinished stair treads to match. These treads, elegantly finished in the same color, descend from the living room of the home down into the private gallery and lounge in the building’s basement.
This floor belongs to an “elegant bachelor” with homes in the East, Santa Fe, and this large stone-clad redoubt on his immaculately manicured ranch north of Santa Fe. His taste is daring and his background is as owner of several avant garde galleries in New York. He needed a floor that would “hold its own” with his noteworthy collections. Our color expert went through MANY blends, and nearly gave up before finding the perfect color, which highlighted the natural tones of the wood without overshadowing the rest of the home. The result is exceptional. So far, we call this color simply: Amber.

I think I do not overstate the case when I say that he is delighted with the outcome.
